International Journal of Chinese Language Teaching

International Journal of Chinese Language Teaching (IJCLT) is a fully peer-reviewed international journal published by Clifford Publishing, an imprint of Clifford Media International, Hong Kong. It publishes biannually both original empirical research and systematic review studies on teaching and learning Chinese as a first and foreign language at all education levels. The journal accepts submissions written in English or Chinese.

The journal welcomes contributions in the following areas, but not limited to: Chinese linguistics; processing of Chinese as a first and second language; translation and interpreting studies; curriculum design and development; teaching methodology; teacher professional development; language and culture; language and society; language testing and evaluation; language planning and policy; multilingualism and multilingual education; information technology and language education.

 

《国际汉语教学学报》由香港Clifford媒体国际出版、发行和运营,主要刊发运用当代语言学理论研究汉语语言本体和汉语教学的研究论文,具体包括以下方面(但不限于):

1、汉语本体研究,包括现代汉语文字、语音、词汇、语法和语篇研究等;

2、汉语教学研究,包括教学材料设计和开发、教学法、教师发展、汉语作为第二语言的习得、语言测试与评估、语言政策、语言与文化、科技与语言教育等。

专刊议题

汉语词汇具有历时演变的层累性,在现代汉语共时层面表现出复杂性,尤以语义关系和复合词最能体现汉语词汇的类型特点。这些特点使得汉语二语词汇教学与习得中的问题繁杂多样,词汇偏误持续的时间也最久,词汇与语法紧密又异质的关系令二者交织难分,词汇学习问题因而更复杂、更深刻,甚至更隐蔽。同时,随着高水平来华学历留学生的大量增加,学术汉语的语料库建设、词表研制、学术汉语词汇教学等研究也亟需展开。基于此,本专刊诚邀海内外学者惠赐汉语词汇语义、汉语二语词汇教学或习得、学术汉语词汇等领域的原创性、实证性研究成果。

We invite submissions for original papers for a special issue for International Journal of Chinese Language Teaching (IJCLT) (www.clt-international.org) on the topic of Chinese second language listening, to appear in 2026.

 

Aims and Scope

This special issue presents scholarly works on Chinese second language listening research and  teaching. Topics include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Factors affecting Chinese listening
  • Listening theories
  • Knowledge, skills, processing, strategies, and meacognitin in Chinese listening
  • Individual differences in Chinese listening
  • Assessments in Chinese listening
  • Application of new technologies in Chinese listening
  • Material development and evaluation for Chinese listening
  • Innovative teaching approaches and methods for Chinese listening
  • Research methods in Chinese listening studies
  • Curriculum design and implementation for Chinese listening instruction

 

Submission Instructions

We accept manuscripts written in English and Chinese. Manuscripts should not exceed 9,000 English words or 10,000 Chinese characters (including references, appendices, etc.).
